"There was a confusion of the name of the passenger the driver was to pick up as it was put down as being Zasheen instead of the name given on the initial booking. The driver did not read the instructions/comments on the booking which contained the passenger's name and mobile number so was ringing someone else to say he had arrived. The issue was a miscommunication as OXO cabs farm the booking to Royal Cars but did not relay the correct passenger information. Luckily the error was resolved quickly and not much delay to the journey. It could have been worse if the passenger didn't go outside but waited in her room instead for the driver to call saying the taxi is outside as he was calling another person. Better communication is required when passing on passengers detail to avoid confusion and delay "

After the officially booked time there was still no sign of the cab and no contact from the firm. I therefore took another cab. 5 mins later I had a call to say the driver had arrived. Too late. I will also not be using this service again. To pay such a lot (£29) for a fare that only cost me £12 with the other firm AND to have a late driver is not impressive. "

My booking was for picking up from Central London at 9am, but we got ready early so I texted my driver by 8:20 to let him know we are ready to go, the driver showed up by 8:37 and we arrived by Oxford by 10:00. Unfortunately no driver turned up for the return part of the journey - I was informed on the phone that the driver did not know his way around Silverstone. However, there are specific collection points of which they were aware - the information is also freely available online. We therefore had to make alternative arrangements which meant instead of being collected at 7 pm - we finally returned to the hotel at 11:30 pm. The taxi company have however agreed to refund the return the part of our journey that was never completed so I look forward to receiving that refund by return."

I het a call 6.15 - 5 minutes after I leave in another taxi. He’s there. He hadn’t even entered the car park until 6.05! Because the flight was scheduled to arrive a little late, he showed up late. But my flight was never scheduled to arrive later than 5.30 and we parked right by immigration so I was on time. I paid for 30mins waiting time, I expect them to use it. Awful service - would never use again."

Since we are unfamiliar with how long it takes to go thru customs/immigration and gather bags-I suggested some flexibility in the timing. Of course offering to pay if we were delayed. I thought the driver would be checking the arrival time, since I sent this info. We were the very last from our flight to be picked up. Our driver was very nice apologized but it was a frustrating way to begin our visit as we were picked up nearly two hours after landing. I think it was bad planning on the drivers part that he was delayed. Honestly, it’s the drivers job to plan for traffic and be on time. "

The route taken was also a long way around, taking an extra 10 minutes. The return journey was £10 through a local firm, a fraction of the price, my opinion is that this service was significantly over priced."
